There are many things that people use in cooking that is dangerous to health, yet they are unaware or some are just nonchalant about it.

In this article, I will expose you to two common dangerous things that people use in cooking that poses a serious danger to health.

The first one is PARACETAMOL. A lot of people especially large restaurants that cook in a very large quantity add paracetamol to their meat to soften it on time. They do this because it saves them gas or kerosene or whatever kind of fuel they use in cooking. Paracetamol is a drug that is used as a painkiller. It was never intended to be used as kitchen ingredients.

When paracetamol is cooked, it loses its qualities and becomes highly acidic and lethal to the health. Several warnings have been released by the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NDLEA) against the use of the tablet in cookingas it could cause kidney and liver failure.

The second one is the use of POTASH to cook beans, cow skin is popularly known as ponmo, and other food in order to tenderize them on time, all in a bid to save money by saving fuel. People also use it in cooking okra to make it very soft and slimy. The most dangerous issue caused by potash that may become fatal is burns and deep ulcers of stomach and intestines and eventually perforation. Excessive consumption of this Potash may cause severe and irreparable damage to the kidney and disrupt normal body functions.
