"Silence! Just silence! Resounding silence! Oh!!! Why can't God just hear me nau? I have been on this mountain for so long!" She cried.

All she could perceive was dark, empty, shallow waters dripping down.

"What's this, Lord? Show yourself to me! I need to see you. I need to know you. Who are you?" She screamed as she held on to the edge of her bed, while clinging on to the bed spread simultaneously. She cried out, groaned and yelled for so long that she perspired profusely, virtually bursting through her own skin in agony, she hit the wall with her hands!

"I will never serve you again! Lord you have failed me! Indeed you have!" She lamented and slept off.

"Welcome Sandra." A voice echoed. Immediately she opened her eyes and saw a crowd pushing their way through a narrow gate.  While Sandra stood behind, and watched, the voice whispered:

"Why are you staring? Join them."

"No, I can't, there is no space for me, besides the gate is so narrow, it takes an individual to get in one after the other to avoid stampede and commotion. Why are they impatient?" Sandra said.

  "Hmmm..I see you have understanding. Where did you get that from?" The voice responded.

"Well, it's just common sense nau!" Sandra replied impatiently.

"That's all?" The voice continued.

"Why all these questions sef?" Sandra asked as she had become quite irritated.

"Is our common sense enough to take us through life's journey?

 Is our common sense enough to make us see beyond what we see?

 Is our common sense enough to control our destiny?

Is our common sense enough to equate us with God?

 Where is our common sense, when we fall?

 Where is our common sense when we utter blasphemy?

  Is common sense everything we need in life?" The voice resounded.

Sandra stood still, and pondered over the words.

"Lord I need your grace!" She echoed.

"I have made you too small in my heart! I'm just like these people, always in a hurry without the master's plan.

  You are the master planner, life giver, standby and advocate. Lord without you, there is no me! I need to walk with you, Lord one step at a time so that even your  "silence" remains part of your plan! 

Even common sense cannot comprehend your ways. Lord I need your grace!"

Sandra said, and as she turned to see who had been speaking, she woke up!

Slowly, she stood up from her bed and stood in front of the mirror.

"All I see is God's grace!" She whispered and smiled.
