Greetings to my readers, in this article I will show you the list of states that have announced the resumption date for schools in Nigeria following the agreement of the Federal Government to reopen schools.

In one of my previous article on school reopening I gave a list of states that announced resumption date, here is the updated list as the state announcing resumption date keeps increasing, Nigerian students are glad to finally getting back to school to continue their academic activities.

OYO STATE

The Tertiary Institutions in Oyo state are to resume on September 28, 2020 while primary, secondary schools and others will reopen on September 21, 2020 as approved by the state governor.

EKITI STATE

Schools in EKITI state will reopen on October 2, 2020, students in JSS III, SSS II and primary 6 will resume school on September 21, 2020, JSS 1 and Primary 1 - 3 will resume on October 19, 2020 and lastly Nursery school pupils and Kindergarten will resume on November 2, 2020.

BENUE STATE

Benue State Government approved Monday 21st September, 2020 as the Official resumption date for both Public, Private Primary, Secondary Schools and Tertiary Institutions across the state for the 2020/2021 academic session.

EBONYI STATE

Primary, secondary and tertiary institutions in Ebonyi will resume on October 5, 2020 while nursery/crèche will reopen in 2021. While speaking he added that modalities for reopening if schools in the state will be communicated in due course.

KEBBI STATE

Kebbi State Government Proposes September 21 the Resumption Date for all Schools.

TARABA STATE

The primary and secondary schools in Taraba are to resume on September 21, 2020 which falls to Monday. No decision has been made on the re-opening of Tertiary Institutions in the state.

DELTA STATE

The Delta State government has directed Tertiary Institutions (Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education) in the state to Resume on 2nd October, 2020.

Primary 6 Pupils In Delta State To Resume Academic Activities On Wednesday, Sept. 16. As All Primary School Teachers Ordered Back To Work On Monday, September 14.

LAGOS STATE

The resumption date of schools in Lagos State, Tertiary Institutions in the state to open on September 14 while Primary and secondary schools will open on the 21st of September, 2020.

BAYELSA State

Bayelsa state government announce the 7th September, 2020 the resumption date of classes for primary six pupils in all public and private schools in the state 

KOGI STATE

The Kogi State government announce 14th of September, 2020 the official resumption date for third term academic activities for all levels.

OSUN STATE

OSUN State announced resumption date for schools on Monday, 31st of August 2020, the state government fixed the resumption date to 21st of September, 2020.

ANAMBRA STATE

The schools in Anambra have resume on Monday 7, September 2020.
