Football has grown to be the most popular sports across the world. The introduction of technologies in the sport made it universally recognised than other sporting activities.
Few years ago, Goal Line Technology was introduced into the game to put an end to controversial referee decision when it comes to whether the ball has crossed the line or not.
About a couple of years ago, VAR was introduced by FIFA in a bid to avoid unfair decisions by the officials of the game. However, VAR hasn't been effective in that regards as it has compound the mystery of football. Whether we need VAR in the game is a significant question the governing bodies need to answer.
In the English Premier League, VAR is becoming bias that it gives favourable decisions to some teams while others suffer at the expense. In this article we will take a look at series of controversial decisions by VAR that has decided the outcome of games in recent times.

2. Bruno Fernandes Free-kick
Bruno Fernandes curled in a brilliant strike in the game as United trail by 2-1. The goal was ruled offside because Nemanja Matic was right at the offside position. Considering Matic did not have any sort of contact with Bruno's direct free-kick, he was said to have blocked the sight of the goalkeeper.

3. Bruno's penalty vs Aston Villa
Bruno Fernandes won a ridiculous penalty against Aston Villa earlier in the season. Without watching the game, if you just take a glance at tht situation you already know who made a challenge. Bruno stepped on the ankles of Aston Villa's defender but yet got a penalty for a challenge he should have been booked for.
4. Sterling vs West Ham
Sterling was really unlucky to be termed offside by VAR in the game against West Ham. The sensational winger's shoulder was considered offside but looking at the replay, it's quite unclear why that decision stood.
5. Henderson's clearance
United's last game witnessed yet another controversial VAR decision. Solksjaer's men were one goal down before Henderson cleared a ball that seem to have gone out of play. VAR checked but couldn't find any fault and you wonder what was going through their mind at this point. Obviously, the ball is out play and Pogba's strike should have been ruled out.
Taking a look at all of these decisions, do you think VAR needs to be abolished from the game as it is snatching away the beauty of foitball
