According to today's DigiTimes report, the iPhone 12 will hit the market in Apple's new dark blue color. Analyst Max Winebach of XDA Developers suggests that the new design could replace the Midnight Green color, which debuted last year with the iPhone 11 Pro.

It is worth noting that Apple is constantly adding new colors to the family of branded smartphones, which definitely pleases fans of the brand. Recall that the first generation of the iPhone, introduced in 2007, came in only one color option.

Its bezel was covered with tempered glass with black bezels around the display, while the back was made of unpainted aluminum.

Since the iPhone 3G, Apple smartphones have been offered in black and white. This tradition lasted all the way to the iPhone 5S, which was released in 2013 in silver, gold, and dark gray. The iPhone 5C presented with it was offered in five bright colors and had a plastic case.

In 2015, with the release of the iPhone 6S, the color palette of Apple smartphones was replenished with the color "rose gold", and the iPhone 7 became the first phone from the company to be available in red. It is worth noting that Apple offered two variants of the iPhone 7 in a black case: painted with matte paint and an incredibly beautiful glossy Jet Black. In 2018, Apple released the iPhone XR, which offered a whole range of vibrant colors. In 2019, it was replaced by the iPhone 11 in updated color options. In terms of flagship devices, the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max came in a new dark green color that many users have liked.

Earlier it was reported that Apple may introduce new smartphones in two waves. The 5.4- and 6.1-inch base versions of the iPhone 12 are expected to see the light first, while 6.1- and 6.7-inch models with the "Pro" prefix will be shown later.
