The bus marked APP 297 YC was conveying participants at the just-concluded 70th convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) when the accident occurred at Day Waterman College stretch of Abeokuta – Kobape – Siun road.

The spokesperson of Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Endorsement Corps (TRACE), Babatunde Akinbiyi, who confirmed the crasb, said it occurred around 5.22pm.

Akinbiyi said the remains of the dead were evacuated to the morgue of State Hospital Ijaiye, Abeokuta while the injured were taken to the same hospital for treatment.

He said: “A survivor said the driver of the bus was on high speed and was cautioned by some of the passengers before one of the rear tyres burst and the bus somersaulted, falling on its side.

“Investigation confirmed that the bus was coming from Redeemed Camp and passengers were among the congregants who partook of the just concluded 70th Convention tagged Perfect Jubilee.

“Three (3) passengers, made up of two males and a female died in the unfortunate crash while 13 others made up of five male adults and 10 female adults were injured including the driver.”

He commiserated with the families of the deceased and admonished drivers to eschew speeding, used tyres and ensure their vehicles were properly maintained before embarking on any journey.

TEXT: EPHESIANS 4:26-27

"BE YE ANGRY, AND SIN NOT: LET NOT THE SUN GO DOWN UPON YOUR WRATH: Neither give place to the devil".

 *SPIRITUAL NUGGET:* 

" IT IS NATURAL TO BE ANGRY. YOU ARE FREE TO EXPRESS YOUR ANGER, BUT LEARN TO CONTROL YOUR ANGER, DON'T LET YOUR ANGER CONTROL YOU!"

 *LET'S GO DEEPER:* 

There is no mortal man created by God that doesn't go ANGRY. Infact, ANGER is natural. Even God HIMSELF goes ANGRY when the need arises. Spirits goes angry. The word ANGER is being defined as: "A strong feeling of displeasure, hostility or antagonism towards someone or something, usually combine with URGE..." (Cambridge Oxford definition). In other words, ANGER is a reaction towards any dissatisfaction, inconvenience and displeasure. There are things that must happen that arouses and stimulates ANGER in people. ANGER is always being stirred up by something. ANGER is like a FIRE that reacts towards negative behaviors. So you see, ANGER is not something that just happens oftenly within you ordinarily. Something must happen for you to be angry. It must be stirred up by something more important and significant. The meaning of this is that, when you find yourself easily getting angry EASILY frequently without any concrete reason, then you should know that, that one is being sponsored by an evil spirit. YES!

There are different kind of ANGER. and there are also different ways people gets angry. Not all things should get you angry easily. Even though you must be angry, learn to control it. Now, the emphasis of the Spirit here is that, as a Believer, learn to control your ANGER. Don't allow your ANGER to control your life and have dominion over you, else it might lead to Destruction and demonism. Now for example, may be it happens that someone offends you or did something to you that was obviously provocative and annoying, the Spirit of God is saying: "YES, You can REACT IN ANGER, but DO NOT ALLOW THE SUN TO GO DOWN ON YOUR ANGER, or else you will give room for SATAN to come into your heart to take charge..." YES! This is how many persons have become possessed and influenced by evil spirits. When you allow your ANGER to be prolonged into the next day in your heart by staying too long, then you will become VULNERABLE and OPEN for Satan to possess your Vessel. This is how Satan takes advantage of many. This is why no matter what your spouse, friend or someone familiar or a stranger might did to you, you can be ANGRY enough to express your displeasure and pain, but don't let it stay in your heart for too long. It is very DANGEROUS and detrimental to your soul.

 *ACTION POINT:* 

ANGER is a platform for ventilation. I mean, when you are ANGRY you are at liberty to Express your displeasure, pain and disappointment towards a person or situation. But in the midst of it, be careful of the WORDS you Speak, your action and ATTITUDE. Because with uncontrollable ANGER, many have destroyed the GLORIOUS relationship, marriage and friendship they have built over the years. Allow the Holy Spirit to work on your temper and wrong angry attitude. ANGER destroys alot of things in your life. May God's Spirit and Wisdom rest upon you STRONG in Jesus Name, Amen!

"I remembered yesterday in particular about 1951, when I was in school and the teachers drilled me and the rest of us so much in the different subjects. I didn't like this, especially how they treated me in particular, so I decided not to go to school again. That day, I went back home, not knowing that my dutiful father did not go to work as usual. I was surprised to see him at home. 

 

"He asked me why I came home and I told him that we were told to go and bring money for harvest. He asked me how much, I told him and he took the amount, put it in his pocket and said we should go back to school together. "I became bold and told him I was no longer going to school because of what he did to me the previous day. He asked me what I wanted to do and I said farming, so he gave me a cutlass and I went to the farm. He didn't discourage me not to go. I got to the farm and cut off all the cocoyams and other things there. I did the same thing the following day. 

 

"That was when my father realized that my future would be endangered, so before the following term started, he called and sat me down and said he did not have education, but wanted me to have it. He said this was why he did what he did and for the first time, he apologized and said he was sorry. So, I said okay and went back to school. 

 

"If I didn't go back to school, and said my father whipped and disgraced me in front of everybody, 

• I won't be where I am today, 

• I would not have gone to secondary school, 

• I would not have gone to the university, 

• I would not have made a 1st class in Mathematics, 

• I would not have established Deeper Life Bible Church. 

 

"Go back to school, go back to your family, go back to your home, don't say you can never go back because of what happened.

I actually saw this article on a friend's timeline on FB in it's just a pack of thoughts. I hope we can all read a reflect on it.

In Malawi a book titled: "HOW TO CHANGE YOUR WIFE IN 30 DAYS" sold two million copies in one week, before it was discovered that the title had a spelling error!

The correct title is: "HOW TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE IN 30 DAYS".​ After the correction, for the whole month, only 3 copies were sold. 

MORAL LESSON: Nobody wants to change himself/herself, but they'll do everything to change someone else"... 

Let's strive to change ourselves first. 

Let's be patient and tolerate one another. We are born to live together. Love is life and life is love.

I am sorry, a short but mighty sentence!

If you wish to live long, don't joke with this short sentence, I am sorry. Do you know how many people who had gone to early grave because they neglected the therapeutic power of I am sorry.

Single sorry can stop a war, and prevents millions of men, women including children from dying!

Most of the troubles in most homes are heightened because wives are too big to say I am sorry to their husbands and you can trust the ego of husbands in saying same to their wives. 

Quarrel lingers between friends because no party wants to say I am sorry. Each says or asks, why should I be the first to say I am sorry? He or she would beat his or her chest and utter the ego phrase, a whole me!

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the part of the world where saying I am sorry is a hard nut to crack while curses are easily unleashed. 

Welcome to the part of the world where people refer to a person who says I am sorry in a midst of a rift as a weaker sex: one who is not man enough; one who is foolish. 

Welcome to Africa where saying I am sorry is tougher than forcing a donkey to pass through a needle hole.  

All of us are victims of this discussion. We have lost valuable assets, money and even lives because of this cheap and affordable sentence I am sorry. It simply cost only a breath of speech. 

Have you ever wondered why domestic violence is less pronounced in the western world? It is simply because they understand the efficacy of I am sorry.

Husbands say it to their wives and even children whenever they err, wives and children do the same and life goes on fine.
