A 32-year-old housewife, Rofiat Bello, was arraigned before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ court, Ibadan, Oyo State for assaulting her nephew with hot iron.

The prosecutor, Insp Folake Ewe, told the court that Rofiat, assaulted her seven-year-old nephew, Olalekan Abdulateef, who lives with her on July 18, by placing a hot iron on his back to “reprimand him” which caused him grievous bodily hurt.

The Magistrate, Mrs Patricia Adetuyibi, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum and thereafter referred the case to the multi-door court on Ring Road, Ibadan.

MESSAGE:

The anointing makes the difference between two weapons of warfare: the anointed one and the ordinary. David confirmed this in Psalm 20:7-8:Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright. Beloved, regardless of how feeble your instrument of office or weapon of warfare may appear, you will do great exploits with it provided you identify with the Anointed of the Almighty - Jesus Christ. Accept, follow and obey His commandments today, and you will be victorious in all you do in life.Vision is so vital to doing exploits in life and usually has its origin in the spirit realm. Anyone with access to vision at any level is endowed with power to do exploits. That is why the bigger and clearer your vision, the greater your exploits.

It is important, by the help of the Holy Spirit, to be able to discern the times of your favour or else you may miss them completely. God is the revealer of secrets. Romans 8:14 says: *“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God."*

The Holy Spirit could decide to use any available means to communicate with you  revealing deep secrets and telling you of things to come. It could be through a dream, revelation, vision, or an audible voice. He could speak through a man of God at a programme, or He could send one to you directly. Apostle Peter fished all night without a single catch, but because he was sensitive enough spiritually to heed Jesus instruction, he received an overflow of blessings (Luke 5:6 ). I decree to your life today: God will give you an overflowing blessing that will impact your family, friends, and neighbours for good, in the mighty name of Jesus.

PRAYER POINT: 

Father, please grant me vision, and power to do exploits in life, in the mighty name of Jesus.

In other news, the Bayelsa-born model recently signed a multi-million naira endorsement deal with liquor brand, Remy Martin.

The 22-year-old model made the grand announcement via her social media accounts on Sunday, November 1.

Nengi, who just made her first acting debut, expressed her excitement in choosing the right brand to work with.

Taking to her Instagram account, she shared a photo clinking glasses with a man and wrote,

Members of the Yar’Adua political family otherwise known as Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM) in various political parties across the country on Tuesday, formally announced their movement to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The members who spread across All Progressives Congress (APC) Social Democratic Party (SDP) Accord Party, (AP), and Alliance for Democracy (AD) among others, said the move became necessary to ensure things work well again in the country.

The movement led by its leader, Chief Bode Ajewole, in Akure, said the resolution of the PDM  group to pitch a tent with PDP was taken for the growth of the nation’s economy and, consequently, the general prosperity of all Nigerians.

According to him, the decision is a consensus agreement by all members in deference to the expressed wishes of their late founder, late Gen. Shehu Musa Yar-Adua and their pioneering National Chairman, National Chairman Late Dr Farouk Abdulazeez.

Ajewole, a one-time member of the House of Representatives, said the decision to join forces with the PDP was not about the individual but an “expression of collective decision jointly taken by majority leaders and followers of Late Shehu Musa Yar-Adua Political family.

He said these political leaders currently spread in APC, ADC, SDP,  Accord and Alliance for Democracy parties.’

Ajewole said “our decision was prompted by obvious discrimination, non-inclusion, and outright alienation at all levels of party activities on one hand and the other.

“Also, our decision is based on the need to keep our members in one political party in deference to the wishes of our Late founding leader Ge. Shehu Musa Yar-Adua as well as the wishes of our pioneering National Chairman Late Doctor Farouk Abdulazeez both of whom always preached the need to remain in one political party rather than scattering ourselves in too many political parties.”

The former National Assembly member who was supported by coordinators drawn from across the South West States stressed that the decision was to achieve deserved recognition in the PDP as opposed to many disparate and divergent political parties.

The group however requested all presidential aspirants who took their political roots from the Yar’adua/People’s Front family to “see each other as brothers and embrace decorum, the spirit of sportsmanship, brotherliness and most importantly, refrain from abusing each other.

The National Coordinator, Ajewole  who was flanked by the  National Director of the Organisation, Godie Ikechi and the North Central Coordinator, Hon Yusuf Sadiq Abubakar, described the movement to PDP “as a mark of respect for our late Icon of politics without bitterness, Gen. Shehu Musa Yar-Adua of blessed memory.”

The PDM however, promised to mobilize support for the PDP to ensure victory for the party at the polls in the forthcoming presidential election.
