His words:
“I interacted with the celebrant in 2016 and 2017 when he called for presentations to the Economic Management Team (EMT). We consulted with his team in finalizing the minimum wage study in 2019, in what was an impossible deadline, which we met miraculously.“I have also watched closely the various interventions in removing bottlenecks in the way of businesses in Nigeria with the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) initiatives.“I worked closely with Dr Jumoke Oduwole and her team and I must say that it was very refreshing to work with a government agency that had the mentality of achieving results at minimal costs.

Peter Okoye Not Involved In Judes Case, Management Claims Corpers Knock FG Over Unpaid N77k Allowance
~1.9 mins read
A viral video featuring Paul Okoye, one-half of the music group P-Square, addressing the press at the arraignment of his older brother and former manager, Jude Okoye, recently captured public attention. The event took place at the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos, on Friday, February 28, 2025. Jude was arraigned on fraud-related charges filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. In the video, Paul accused his twin brother, Peter, of being responsible for Jude’s legal troubles. He said, “It is not about supporting him because I know the truth. And the truth is, unfortunately, the way the journalists are making it look like he is a fraud. Let’s call a spade a spade, Peter is the one putting Jude to this thing, simple. It is Peter that is doing this, putting him in prison, and I’m here to bring him out.” In response to Paul’s claims, Saturday Beats reached out to Peter’s manager, Emem Kush, for a statement. She denied Peter’s involvement, stating, “I don’t know Peter is on this issue. And I don’t think he has any comment on this issue. The case is between the EFCC, based on their investigation, and Jude Okoye. I don’t see how Peter Okoye has anything to do with it. We have no comment on this matter. Peter didn’t drag anybody to the EFCC. The petition was against the company that has been receiving funds on his behalf. And he knew nothing about it. Don’t mix up issues, and let’s not create issues where they are not.” When asked if there were any conditions tied to the case, she added, “The EFCC was the one that received all of this, so I think it’s best to speak to them to know the facts of the case, and their findings. I don’t represent the EFCC. I’m not spokesman for the EFCC. I’m not spokesman for either party, so I can’t tell you.” On February 26, 2025, Jude Okoye, alongside his company, North Music Limited, was arraigned on a seven-count charge of money laundering involving N1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59. The feud between the Okoye brothers dates back to 2015, when tensions within P-Square became public. In 2017, the duo officially began pursuing solo careers. Fans remained hopeful for a reunion, especially after they collaborated on Jaiye and Find Somebody in 2022 and performed together publicly. However, in August 2024, Paul confirmed their split during an interview with City FM radio. During the interview, Paul also alleged that Peter had petitioned both him and Jude to the EFCC, leading to their invitation for questioning. In response, Peter denied reporting Paul to the anti-graft agency but maintained that his petition was aimed at exposing the betrayal he suffered from Jude and his wife, Ifeoma.

Bandits Kill 19 People In Kutemeshi, Kaduna State
~1.5 mins read
No fewer than 19 persons have been confirmed dead after bandits invaded Kutemeshi Community in the Birnin-Gwari area of Kaduna State.

A resident of the community, who confirmed the attack to SaharaReporters, said several calls to security agencies were unattended to, leaving the people at the mercy of the bandits.

He said only a few volunteer vigilantes responded to the emergency calls after the bandits had retreated to the bush.

Bashir Lawal, who narrowly escaped death, said, "Early Sunday morning, 19 people were confirmed dead, while several others were injured and many people still missing. Those killed are set for burial.

"We called several times for security reinforcements, but only a handful of volunteer vigilantes came after the bandits had retreated to the bush around 7pm yesterday.

"In recent days, armed bandits had displaced thousands of people from different communities in various parts of Birnin-Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State."

The state Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, confirmed the incident on Sunday.

He listed the names of people killed as Malan Sani Barume, Yahaya Bello, Amadu Dan Korau, Samaila Niga, Jamilu Haruna, Lawal Majiya, Dan Malam Rabo, Dauda Kafinta, Hassan Mai Makani, Bashir Haruna, Lawal Ali, Mu’azu Haruna, Mai Unguwa Sa’adu and Harisu Bako.

He added that those who sustained injuries had been taken to a neighbouring state closer to Kutemeshi for urgent medical attention.

Aruwan said, “Some shops were also looted with valuable items carted away. Some of the injured (persons) have been moved to a neighbouring state closer to Kutemeshi for urgent medical attention, while others are in transit to an orthopaedic hospital in Kaduna.

"So far, only the 14 corpses have been recovered from Kutemeshi. The Kaduna State Government will provide updates on any emerging developments."

This comes barely three days after six persons were burnt to death during a bandits’ induced auto crash in the Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of the state.
