British Double Agent Died In Russian
~2.3 mins read

George Blake, a former British intelligence officer who worked as a double agent for the Soviet Union and passed some of the most coveted Western secrets to Moscow, has died in Russia. He was 98.

Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service, known as SVR, announced his death on Saturday in a statement which didn't give any details. Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences, hailing Blake as a "brilliant professional" and a man of "remarkable courage".

As a double agent, Blake exposed a Western plan to eavesdrop on Soviet communications from an underground tunnel into East Berlin. He also unmasked scores of British agents in Soviet bloc countries in Eastern Europe, some of whom were executed. Blake has lived in Russia since his daring escape from a British prison in 1966 and was given the rank of Russian intelligence colonel.

Britain considered Blake to be a traitor, but the man himself never agreed with that assessment and said he had never actually "felt" British.

"To betray, you first have to belong. I never belonged," he said.

The British Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office declined to comment on Blake's death.

Born in the Netherlands, Blake joined British intelligence during World War II. He was posted to Korea when the war there erupted in 1950 and was detained by the Communist north. He said he volunteered to work for the Soviet Union after witnessing the relentless US bombing of North Korea.

In a statement issued in 2017 through the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, Blake emphasised that he decided to switch sides after seeing civilians massacred by the "American military machine".

"I realised back then that such conflicts are deadly dangerous for the entire humankind and made the most important decision in my life — to cooperate with Soviet intelligence voluntarily and for free to help protect peace in the world," Blake said.

In a 2012 interview with the Russian government daily Rossiyskaya Gazeta, Blake shared some details of his cloak-and-dagger adventures, including meetings with a Soviet liaison in East Berlin. He said that once a month he would take a train to East Berlin, make sure that he wasn't being followed, and go by car to a secret apartment where he and his contact would have a talk accompanied by a glass of Soviet-made sparkling wine.

Crystal Palace Player Ratings As Patrick Van Aanholt Poor, Scott Dann Well Off The Pace
~2.1 mins read
Vicente Guaita : Got a good hand to a Watkins effort, but could do nothing about the follow up for Traore's opener. Made a good stop to deny Grealish. Desperate attempt to keep out Villa's second, but unfortunately not enough. Absolutely no chance for the third. 5

Joel Ward : Solid in the first half, putting in numerous challenges as Villa knocked at the door down his side. Booked for a late tackle on Grealish. 5

Cheikhou Kouyate : A positive performance in the first half, winning the ball and proving aggressive in an attacking manner. 5

Scott Dann : Could have done better for the opening goal, with Watkins finding it easy go get a shot away. Miscommunication with Van Aanholt allowed an attack from which Traore hit the post. Some questionable passing. Struggled to deal with Watkins' physicality and movement. Decent block to prevent a third. 4Patrick van Aanholt : Caught out of position for Villa's opener after rampaging down the left. Out of position in the build up again as Traore hit the post after 17 minutes. Got forward well but as usual was suspect defensively, with Villa clearly targeting him. Beaten far too easily twice in quick succession. 4

Jeff Schlupp : Some good work in patches in the early stages, his running on the ball proving a threat. Looked the most likely to make something happen, and had the beating of Targett. Subbed late on. 6

Luka Milivojevic : Decent enough in the first half, had a free-kick that was saved fairly simply. Displayed some serious naivety in giving away the simplest of free-kicks from which Villa scored their second, and was subbed shortly after. 4

James McArthur : Showed some good touches and passes in the first half as Palace tried to get back into it following the early opener. Lingered on the ball for too long in the second half, missing some opportunities to get Van Aanholt in with some overplaying. Subbed with Palace chasing the game. 5Ebere Eze : Took a little while to get going, but looked decent on the ball in attack, if a little slow in getting back to help out in defence. Had a shot on the turn just before half-time that was easily saved. Didn't happen for him in the second half, and was an off day for the young star. 6

Wilfried Zaha : Held off attention from Mings but saw his shot blocked by Martinez in the opening minute. Some good tracking back to prevent Grealish an easy one-on-one. Was maybe a little lucky to only receive a yellow for the way he reacted to a Mings challenge, but used it to his advantage by drawing another yellow card tackle from the centre-back. Some more vital tracking back to halt a Villa counter in the second half. 6Christian Benteke : Sent Zaha through on goal early on with a nice touch. As dominant as Palace would have hoped physically, but didn't have the required effect in front of goal in the first half. Only had one real opportunity, but was flagged offside as his shot was saved. 5

Arsenal Player Ratings Vs Chelsea As Laca, Xhaka And Saka Shine, Smith Rowe Superb
~1.1 mins read
Leno: Good distribution early on. Will be frustrated not to have kept a clean sheet after Arsenal dominated the game. 7.

Bellerin: Some excellent running down the right-hand side. Led his team well. 7.

Holding: Important tackle on Werner in the first half. Always vocal at the back and deserves credit for a solid performance at the back. 7.

Mari: Made a professional foul on Kovacic in the first half and a good tackle on Abraham in the box. Came into the team and did a solid job defensively. 7.

Tierney: Won the penalty and always looked bright down the left. A constant threat and impressive defensively too. 7.

Elneny: Slack with his passing but almost scored in the second half. Struggled at times but will be happy with the win. 6.Xhaka: A perfect free-kick. Controlled the midfield and his passing was a constant thorn in Chelsea's side. 8.

Smith Rowe: Won the most fouls in the first half. Bright, energetic and made an assist in his first league start of the season. 8.

Saka: Clever one-twos with Laca and Smith Rowe. Scored an absolutely brilliant goal and should be proud of another match-winning performance. 8.

Martinelli: His enthusiasm is infectious. Always running, always direct and exciting to watch. 8.Laca: Great penalty. Two goals in two games. One of the best players on the pitch. 8.

Subs:

Pepe: Unable to influence the game in the short time he was on.

Mustafi: Only on for a couple of minutes.

Willock: Had little input when he came on.

Take These To Get A Youthful And Flawless Skin.
~1.8 mins read
It's no surprise that everyone loves to have a flawless and beautiful supple skin. Some with a flawless skin have no problem flaunting it and that's because others don't have it.  So here I bring to you things you can take or do to give you a
flawless skin.

1.Take fruits :  To get a glowing and flawless skin, you need to always consume a great deal of fruits daily and it has been proven countless ways. Carrots,Apricots and Oranges have all proved to help the skin flourish exponently.

2.Take lots of Vegetables:  To get your skin to its 100%,you need to always take vegetables on a daily basis. Tomatoes and Broccoli is a very good and effective example of vegetables to consume for high level effectiveness and efficiency.

3.Always Stay Hydrated:  To get your skin glowing and looking youthful, staying hydrated can never be over-emphasized. When the body lacks enough fluid it becomes prone to a lot of skin challenges. Drinking at least eight(8) glasses of water is highly recommended for a better result.

4.Moisturize: There will always be a difference between a moisturized face and the un-moisturized.  The latter appears to be flaky and often dry most of the time and this renders it unattractive. Moisturizing your face daily doesn't only take care of the skin, it makes it glow and look youthful.

5.Dont Bleach:  Some people tried bleaching without knowing the procedures to follow and in the end the bleaching render their face un-attractive and it becomes something they bear with later in their life. Am not against bleaching but the way some people go about it is so pathetic.  Instead of using those harmful chemicals, it's much more advisable to use some natural bleaching fruits like Lemon or even Tomatoes.
Extracting the juice from the listed above can actually work in place of bleaching creams high in hydroquinon which has its own health hazards.

6.Exfoliate: The dead cells on your skin will render it looking so unattractive and that's where exfoliation comes in. Exfoliation is the removal of dead skin on the skin leaving it glowing and flawless.
Using a sponge scrub or some cleansers can make your skin glow more than you can ever imagine.
It is out rightly recommended to exfoliate twice/thrice a week for best results.

Today we've done it against one of the best teams in the league in a really convincing way.

I think it was a really good mixture of senior players and young talent we have. I think they were really, really good.

On Gabriel testing positive for Covid
We have to follow all the guidelines and protocols with COVID. He was in contact with someone who tested positive. It was someone who was in his bubble.

Arteta on Xhaka
He makes mistakes like we all do but his commitment and character and how much he wants to play for this team is unquestionable.

Every Word Mikel Arteta Just Said On Granit Xhaka, Arsenal's Youngsters, Gabriel, Willian & Chelsea
~2.6 mins read
What does the win say about the strength and depth you have in this squad?

Well I think it's down to everybody because the senior contributed in a different way, some of them on the pitch, some of them outside. When were coming on the bus I sensed the energy and how much they wanted it. It doesn't get any better than playing in the Premier League on Boxing Day in a London derby. I said today we have to take this opportunity now to put some performances that we didn't have results in the past, that we need a big performance and the three points. I think the boys did it really well.

Xhaka showed the fight and leadership you've been calling for?

Since I've been here he's always shown that. That's why I've been really supported of him. He makes mistakes like we all do but his commitment and his character and how much he wants to fight for this club and team is unquestionable. I think today he showed that again.

Do you feel it's a significant result for you?

Well it's a really important win for us. Because as I mentioned before some of the performances have not been enough to win football matches and that's something obviously difficult to handle all the time. We needed the points, that's for sure, and today we've done it against one of the best teams in the league in a really convincing way. That shows you we're able to do it when we're at our best. Can we do it every three days? That's the question mark we need to respond in the next weeks or so, but today we needed that lift. The boys are delighted and of course for our fans because it's been some difficult weeks.

You must have been delighted with the performance of the youngsters?

Yes. I think it was a really good mixture today of senior players, experienced players and young talent that we have. They've been showing us in the last few weeks that they're capable of starting the games. I had no doubt that they would respond today and I think they were really good.

What's the latest with Gabriel?

We have to follow all the guidelines and protocols with COVID. The doc is on top of that. For how long still it's not 100 per cent convinced but he was in contact with someone who has tested positive, then he has to stay away for a few days.

Was it anything to do with the game against City because Gabriel Jesus has tested positive?

No, it wasn't with another player in the Premier League. It was with someone in his bubble.

Is it linked to David Luiz or Willian?

No, that's for some different reason. They were having some symptoms and we have to be really cautious when that happens. The protocols say that they have to stay away. They have tested negative but we still have to be really careful that we don't pass that onto the players and make sure they don't have it.

Gabriel hasn't tested positive? He's just been in close contact with someone who has?

Yes.

Pleased with Martinelli and Tierney on the left?

Yes. I think both of them were really good. Really good understand, communication and courage as well. Every time they were attacking they were involved in good actions, so I'm really pleased with them.

Was Partey close to being involved?

Not yet. He hasn't started to train with us yet so I think he's still a few more days away.
