~1.3 mins read

From stylist to shapewear designer.

It's safe to say that Kim Kardashian has always had her pulse on what's fashionable. In the early '00s, the SKIMS mogul helped make velour tracksuits cool—and, in actuality, is still doing so.

Last week, Kim stepped out with longtime friend Paris Hilton to promote her newest collection of velour tracksuits for SKIMS. As E! readers may recall, back in the day, the two moguls often twinned in Juicy Couture tracksuits and Louis Vuitton handbags.

Tracksuits aside, Kim's ever-changing style often sets the tone for what's fashionable. Whether she's rocking vintage Thierry Mugler or a custom Versace gown, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star always looks stunning on a red carpet.

There's no denying it, Kim Kardashian is a style icon. (We mean, we didn't all just start wearing biker shorts and neutral tones out of nowhere.)

Don't forget, Kim is also nominated for Style Star of 2020 at the 2020 E! People's Choice Awards.

DANIEL IN LOVE
~2.3 mins read
In Nigeria, High school is Senior Secondary School. So, I will stick with SS. He met her in SS1 and it was not the kind of meeting that would lead to love. It was the kind that made you grind your teeth and wish these two souls never met.
It started with a slap

"Don't you watch where you are going"
He stared back at her stricken by love for a girl he had just met. The slap was sweet, so he turned his cheek for another.

She chuckled, wondering what a fool this boy was.

Realizing he was in a some fantasy all along, he started and bellowed

"If you ever do that again, I will finish you. He gestured drawing a line from one end of his neck to another."

She hissed at him and walked away. That was the first meeting.

The next time it was her fault. She stepped on his toes, literally.

"Watch where you....this girl, the last time you..."

She did not reply and just walked past. There was something about her.
Something he noticed that was not quite alright. And she was different, like she reeked of depression or some kind of loss.
It was not long since they became friends. Bumping friends. The third time it happened, they knew the universe was drawing them closer to each othwr so they let it.

"My father...he's dead.."
"Oh...Dara, I am so sorry. I noti..."
"It's nothing. The bastard deserved it anyway."

Daniel's mouth hung open wide enough for him to swallow a fly that drifted past his face.
She continued,
"It's funny I miss him somehow, after all he did to me."
Daniel watched her eyes grow a glassy silver, tears dripping by the side.
They shared a kiss at that part of the school where old caterpillar tyres are kept behind the school canteen.

But he never saw her again. She left.

After years, he waited. There was 2go and facebook, then whatsapp and telegram and he searched for her name, Dara Simeon endlessly. He even tried Sparkle Baby, her nickname but nothing came up.
After 10 years, she suddenly showed up at a mall her hair plaited in cornrows, her skin glowing as those times in SS1 to 2.
Hello, he said
Hi, she replied....Daniel right?
He felt like a stab through the stomach.
Yeah he said, tring to hide his slight annoyance.
Ok...just came by the mall to get some things. It's nice to meet you.
Oh, yeah, he replied, searching her eyes for remnants of love.
She walked away.
That was it. That was how easy it was for her to forget him.
She seemed to love everyone. Me, Ade, John, even Usman. Usman sef, but no one at all. Even me that thought I was her one and only special Daniel.
