Sex Outside Marriage Is ‘Not The Most Serious Sin’ –Pope Francis

Pope Francis has said that sex outside of marriage is not the most serious sin.

The leader of the Catholic church said this during a press conference aboard his flight back to Italy from Greece on Monday when he was asked about the resignation of the Archbishop of Paris, Michel Aupetit, who a French magazine claimed had engaged in an intimate relationship with a woman.

In response, the Pope said, “It was a failing on his part, a failing against the sixth commandment, but not a total one. There is sin there but not the worst kind….Sins of the flesh are not the most serious.”

Rather, he said that pride and hatred were “the most serious” of sins.

ASUU, Taraba State University Chapter In Prayer Session Over Lingering Strike Action.
~1.6 mins read
The Taraba State University (TSU) chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has sought divine intervention on the prolonged strike action embarked by the body.
In a prayer session held at separate grounds on Tuesday, November 3, Christian and Muslim members of the chapter sought celestial control over the crisis that has long pitched varsity lecturers against the federal government.
Legit.ng recalls that the recent and last meeting, which was held on Wednesday, October 28, between ASUU leadership and the federal government hit the bricks as both parties failed to reach a unilateral agreement on the adoption of University Transparency and Accountability Solution (UTAS).
Newspaper review for Thursday, November 5: Again, FG, ASUU's talks hit the rocks as PDP and APC clash
A federal government team led by the minister of labour and employment, Chris Ngige, refused that the N30 billion earned allowance promised to the lecturers be paid through a platform different from Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS).

ASUU chairman, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi, stood the ground on UTAS, with both sides agreeing to consult their principals.
The body has since accused the federal government of frustrating its demand despite the agreement between both parties.
Speaking after the prayers, former vice-chairman of the Taraba university union, Mbave Joshua, stated that the prolonged strike was not ordinary as there are many issues to be addressed like funding of the universities.
“We have no other choice at this point than to turn to God for intervention because we have exhausted all other means to resolve the issues."Our members have gone for two months without salary and without any explanation for such action."
