Chelsea Report 128.4m Profit After Sale Of Women's Team

Chelsea have reported a pre-tax profit of £128.4m in their financial results for the year ending June 2024. The figure was an improvement on the first full year under the ownership of Todd Boehly's Clearlake Capital consortium, in which the Premier League club announced pre-tax losses of £90.1m. Chelsea's overall revenue fell from £512.5m in 2023 to £468.5m, which the club attributed to the absence of Champions League football for their men's side. The club credited the profit to the "disposal of player registrations" worth £152.5m and the "repositioning" of their highly successful women's team. Chelsea announced a restructuring and a long-term strategic plan for the women's team in May 2024 which saw them sold to become a standalone business from the men's side while remaining a part of the club owners' wider portfolio. Chelsea said matchday revenue increased to £80.1m for its financial year, from £76.5m in the previous results. Commercial revenue also increased from £210.1m in 2023 to £225.3m due to "an increase in player loan income and strong sales of non-matchday activities". Chelsea's statement on Monday pointed to how the club improved their financial health, avoiding breaking Premier League's profit and sustainability rules (PSR). The position was strengthened in the previous financial results by the sale of two hotels by Chelsea FC Holdings Ltd to BlueCo 22 Properties Ltd, a deal between companies under the control of the Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital ownership. That £76.5m sale meant Chelsea made a loss of £89.9m instead of £166.4m in their 2022-23 accounts. Chelsea may have made an even greater gain with the sale of the women's team to BlueCo, with that 2024 transaction worth either part or all of the £198.7m "profit on disposal of subsidiaries" mentioned in the club accounts. Without that, Chelsea may have made a significant loss. In a season without European football, the club again made substantial player purchases while not having a front-of-shirt sponsor. Only when the full financial results are released on Companies House will it be absolutely clear what impact the women's team transaction has made. Chelsea's strategy is entirely within Premier League rules. Uefa has more stringent rules and it remains to be seen whether European football's governing body considers any action. Chelsea believe their move benefits the women's team, which is gaining investment while a separate entity.

Little Boy Gets Birthday Celebration From Mum As He Clocks 2

A kid on Friday, October 23, got a morning birthday party and many Twitter users have commended his mum for the thoughtfulness of the whole arrangement.

In a video that was shared by his mum, Jayla B on Twitter, the boy woke up on his birthday and walked to a living room fully decorated for him.

Stupified beyond words, the 2-year-old boy opened his mouth as he kept looking at the bubbles

flying around in the room.

When his mum wished him a happy birthday, his face was all shades of joy. After he had taken it all in, the boy went for the bubbles and started hitting them with his palm.

Women are special for many reasons. They are the most sensitive, caring and maternal people in the world.

Moreso, they are very sympathetic towards people and things. They use both sides of the brain and men don't.

women are one who does not necessarily base her self esteem on her body.

Nevertheless, they have a great sense of responsibility. If she's married, she respects her husband well enough.

This doesn't mean that she never offers her opinion.

She does that when she has to, but does so in a respectful manner.

Now let's take a look at what women enjoy in a relationship with her man.

Most atimes due to the facts that many men don't know this things...they might end up having their relationship broken up.

Below we will discuss three things.

1.Caring:Women want partners that care for them and take them as a baby, teddy, and soon..this means you should show love on her.

2.Perfect partners: They don't wants perfect partners not...but they want men who are striving to be their best selves.

3.Goals: A woman wants someone who has a goal... She doesn't necessarily want someone who has every step of his life pre-planned, but she wants someone with goals.

Opinion: You're A Thief If You Are Doing Any Of These 7 Things

Many of us think that being a thief only means to steal money, but it goes beyond that. Normally, stealing is not good, thieves are liable to die young.

In this article I will show some few things you do Ignorantly without knowing you have labelled yourself a thief. Kindly FOLLOW me if you haven't done so, also LIKE and SHARE this article after reading.

You're a thief is you are doing any of these things below:

1. If you go to work late and sign that you came early

This is mostly common with civil servants. Those of you civil servants, who will go to work by 8:30am, and write 7:30 or 7:00am, you're not only a liar, but also a thief. How? Because you have used the time you supposed to use in your office for personal interest.

2. You're a thief if as a teacher/lecturer your lesson note isn't complete

Some teachers and lecturer are naturally lazy. Not only that they come to work late, they feel so reluctant to complete their lesson note. Some don't even go to classes.

This kind of thing is mostly common among government school teachers because they feel no one will check on them, they behave anyhow they like, after all, at the month end, whether the students understand what he or she taught or not, they will still be paid. You're a thief if you're doing so.

3. You're a thief if you fail to pay up your debt

Some people derive joy in owing their fellow being. They will beg you for money with whole sincerity and meekness but to pay back becomes an issue. If you disturb them too much to pay back, they will insult you on top of your money.

So, you can see that being a thief doesn't necessarily mean only stealing money. I guess this article will help you abstain from any of the above mentioned points, so that it won't stand as a judgement against you on the last day.

4. When you pick someone's phone, wallet, money and refuse to give it back to him/her

Some people are just good at picking what doesn't belong to them, and they seems to be mean if they see the actual owner of what they picked, looking for it. If you pick someone's wallet or phone and the person happens to be calling to know where he dropped the phone, and you pick, kindly tell him the place you're so that he or she can come and take it.

Though the person may not appreciate what you have done, instead he or she might decide to insult you. The best thing to do is to remain silent and walk away, by so doing you have laid a legacy. If the person gives you money in appreciation, collect if you wish. But don't forget the 8th commandment of which is the summary of all am saying, thou shalt not steal!

5. If you cheat in the exam Hall, you're a thief

The education system of our generation seems different from previous. In this our 21st century, almost everyone wants shortcut. No one wants to stress him or herself. Hear me, if you follow shortcut, you end up cutting your life short.

Many parents aren't a helping matter. If you're a parent supporting your child to go and take exam in special centre or that you do any kind of cheating at all in the examination hall, you are nothing but a thief. You are expected to read and prepare assiduously for the exam, but you won't, looking for manner to fall from above, you are not only lazy but also a thief. Abstain from it.

6. If you connect to someone's wifi or hotspot without his permission

Almost all of us wants free things. One thing is certain, free thing is always sweet but don't last, check it out. When you connect to someone else's wifi or hotspot (maybe because you know his wifi password) without his permission, you are a thief.

The worst part of it all is that, when you are connected to someone's wifi/hotspot, you will like to download almost all the videos in YouTube but reverse is always the case if it's your own data.

7. You're a thief if you indulge in internet fraud(scamming)

Most youths of nowadays wants quick money and as such would engage themselves in scamming their victims. There are several ways through which they operate, both those that will scam you by asking you to send your BVN or those that will introduce fake platform to you, all in the name of, it pays. If you're a scammer, automatically, you're a thief. Repent!
