Chapter 6.
  At some point, I hesitated before I could respond to Lanre.

"Yes, Charles gave me a ride, home." I replied. Lanre remained quiet for a while, then continued.

"Where did you meet him? I thought, you just met at the party?" Lanre exclaimed. At this point, I wasn't sure how to respond.

"Lanre, I don't understand." I responded.

"Well, I'm just curious." Lanre said.

"Hmmm..Your curiosity amazes me. By the way, where were you when we drove pass?" I enquired.

"I just stopped by to pump my tyres." Lanre replied.

"Okay." I replied

"Was wondering if you will be available for lunch?" Lanre said. This was the last thing I had expected Lanre to say to me! Lunch? Since when? I pondered.

"Are you kidding me, Lanre?" I asked.

"No, I'm not, I have been meaning to ask you." Lanre responded immediately.

I still, couldn't believe that he was asking me out for Lunch, so I pushed the question further.

"What's the occasion? Did you just get promoted?" I continued.

"Hmmm..no..I just want you and me, to hang out over Lunch, is that such a weird idea?" Lanre reacted.
  Then I heaved a heavy sigh. I wasn't sure of my reply but as I opened my mouth to respond, I found myself saying another thing

"Okay..Lanre, when do you want me to be ready?" I said.

"I'm already on my way." Lanre announced. I was quite taken aback! Looked like Lanre had it all planned out. Few minutes later, my phone rang, and when I received the call, it was Lanre.

"I'm outside the gate." He said.

I still thought everything happening was a joke until I stepped outside and saw Lanre, dressed up for the occasion.
Quickly, he opened the car and beckoned on me to enter. I had never seen Lanre with such disposition, before.
"Are you good?" He asked as he started the car.
"Yeah." I casually said.
"Okay..great! So let's be on our way." Lanre said and drove off.
