THE DAY I MET HIM.(Part 7)

"I'm outside the gate." He said.

I still thought everything happening was a joke until I stepped outside and saw Lanre, dressed up for the occasion.

Quickly, he opened the car and beckoned on me to enter. I had never seen Lanre with such disposition, before.

"Are you good?" He asked as he started the car.

"Yeah." I casually said.

"Okay..great! So let's be on our way." Lanre said and drove off.

While seated in the car, as Lanre drove off, my heart pounded so fast that you could literally see, how nervous I was. Soon enough, Lanre parked by an exotic eatery - a place I had never been to. Then, we stepped out of the car and went in. Apparently, Lanre had pre-ordered a table for two and the waitress, was ready to take our orders.  

      "Welcome to Zeesplatter(The home of tasty meals.)we are ready to serve you." A beautiful lady said as she stood beside us and handed us the menu.

"Thank you, anything she settles for, is fine by me." Lanre said with a smile on. At this point, it looked like I had no choice, so randomly I picked a meal.

"Okay ma'am, your food will be served in a moment, enjoy your stay here." The Lady said as she headed on. 

"So, do you like this place?" Lanre asked, interrupting my thought.

 I heaved a heavy sigh.

"Well, it's cool, I love the interiors. It's beautiful." I honestly replied.

"And their meals are exceptionally delicious." Lanre said. Almost immediately, a gorgeous dark lady walked in, she had a beautiful aura. She headed towards our direction.

"Hello! You are welcome to Zeesplatter, make yourself comfortable as we spoil you to a delicious experience." She said.

"Thank you so much, we have taken our orders." Lanre replied.

"Oh! Good! That means, you will be getting our special bonus today -The Asun special by @thatfooddielawyer - my special delicacy." The lady announced excitedly.

"Wow! Thanks so much." Lanre responded as I smiled along.

"By the way, I am Azeezat Ifemide Adejare(a.k.a @thatfooddielawyer, the owner of this eatery - Zeesplatte." The lady said.

"We are Pleased, to meet you, and thanks for the warm reception." Lanre complimented.

"You have a beautiful place, I must say." I added.

"Thanks, so let me leave you to enjoy the rest of the experience." @thatfooddielawyer said as she headed for her office.

"Have you seen the way she blends her exotic delicacies with real life experiences as it relates to various processes?" Lanre said, referring to the owner of the eatery.

"Hmm! That's interesting.. what's her social media handle?" I asked, as I had become very curious.

"@thatfooddielawyer, on Instagram.

Our orders had arrived and was gently served on the table, the aroma was so enticing that I couldn't wait to have a taste.

"Thank you." Lanre said to the waitress.

"I guess we can eat our meal, now."

 Lanre said as he beckoned on me, and almost immediately, I settled down to eat. The meal was so tasty! Then, came the special delicacy - ASUN(Goat meat barbecue.) I couldn't help but, wonder why Lanre had to give me such a treat. Then, just like he read my mind, Lanre spoke.

"Kelechi, just like I previously stated, I have always wanted us to have a moment like this, until Charles went ahead of me, but i think I need to tell you what I feel right now..." Lanre said and paused for a moment. Then it began to dawn on me, that there was more to this, than I had envisaged...
