Leaders Involved In Corruption Cant Deliver Good Governance Obasanjo
~0.9 mins read
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has said corrupt politicians cannot provide good governance.
Speaking virtually at a recent event in Victoria Island, Lagos, he said: “If you look clinically at the people in government today at both executive and legislative levels, some of them should be permanently behind bars for their past misdemeanour and criminal misconduct.
You cannot expect thi£ves to give good judgement in favour of the owner of the property.
The first thing that shocked me when I went into politics was the level of corruption of election officials which was taken as normal.
The second was the level of general and criminal misbehaviour which was taken with levity and impunity. We were at a meeting and a man lied and I confronted him, and the next thing he said is ‘It is all politics, Sir’.
Every bad thing they do is passed on as politics which means politics has no room for morality, principles, rectitude, ethics, good character and attributes.
Nigeria needs transformational leaders rather than transactional leaders, truth instead of lies, honesty instead of dishonesty, integrity instead of disintegrity, hope instead of despair, production instead of deduction, inclusion instead of exclusion and marginalisation.”

Why We Sacked 2,414 Teachers Employed By Ex-gov Ahmed Kwara Govt
~2.0 mins read
Tunde Oyekola, Ilorin

Kwara State government has explained why it disengaged 2,414 teachers from the service of the State Universal Basic Education Board.

The teachers’ disengagement was announced in a statement titled, ‘Kwara govt takes stand on 2019 SUBEB workers, offsets pending seven months’ salaries. New employment portal opens January.’

The statement was signed by the Press Secretary, state Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, Mr Yakub Ali-Agan.

The statement indicted that the sacked teachers were recruited in the twilight of the administration of former Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed.

The teachers were employed to teach English, Mathematics, and science subjects in junior secondary schools in the state.

However, the state government said although it had earlier screened the teachers and cleared 1,658 of them, it was later discovered that the majority of them were not qualified to teach.

The statement read, “For instance, it was discovered that some of the 1,658 [teachers] purportedly adjudged to be qualified did not, in fact they don’t have the required teaching certificates.

It was discovered that the teachers were engaged for subjects not covered in the executive approval, underscoring the unwholesome and impeachable nature of the entire process.

“Following from the above, the government has decided to start the employment process all over again in January 2021. The government will open a new application portal for all the 2,414 and any other eligible persons to apply for SUBEB teaching jobs in relevant subjects to be advertised. This effectively nullifies the controversial employment process of 2018/2019

The statement further explained that the decision to sack the teachers was built on justice and fairness to everyone, particularly taxpayers, and children, whose future depended on the quality of teaching they received at the elementary schools.

Meanwhile, the state governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has directed the immediate payment of seven months’ salaries earlier withheld from 594 SUBEB teachers since June 2020.

“The salaries were paid on Thursday night on compassionate grounds as their employment status remains unofficial,” a government statement said on Thursday.

just a day before yesterday, Victor went to have 'inter- course' with her as usual, as he was trying to r ē m o v e his clothes, the girl said to him..

“wait! you always the first to r ē m o v e your cloths, today I will be the first to remove mine” she said to Victor while holding his hands.

Victor shouted and was about to ran out of the room when she appeared right in front of Victor.

“why are you running, sweetie? you've been satisfying me for a while now, so why you're running?”.. she asked Victor.

“please don't do this to me, I'm begging you to let me leave, please I won't do that again”.. Victor begged her as he was trembling with fears.

“why are you scared? why will I let you leave? aren't you the one who have been having
inter- course with me for a while now? so why you're running? I must say! I've been enjoying it with you all this time”... she said as she was approaching Victor.

“No! no! nooooooooh! don't come close to me! please!” Victor shouted as he was crying.

she was still approaching Victor.

as soon as she approached Victor, Victor shouted...

“B l ō o d of J e s u s!!”.. Victor shouted out loud.

as soon as Victor shouted, she stopped and slapped Victor, and Victor f a i n t e d
as soon as she slapped him.

when I came to work yesterday morning being Saturday, Victor was lying lifeless on the ground, he can't even walk on his own.

Victor was rushed to the hospital in there, since yesterday I've been praying for Victor's safety.

just this morning being Sunday, I got a call which states that Victor just passed away!

September will make it a year since I've been walking there, when that time reaches, I will resign as soon as possible!.
