Tongues wag as Report reveals Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has four children: a son from her first marriage, two from her second, and a son with High Chief Uduaghan, her current husband
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s recent face-off with Senate President Godswill Akpabio has reignited discussions about both her political and personal life.
While her defiance in the Senate and allegations against Akpabio have drawn national attention, her private life—especially her marriages and children—has also come under scrutiny.
Investigations by the Nation reveal that Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has four children from different relationships. She had a son with her first husband, a boy and a girl from her second husband, and another son with her current husband, High Chief Emmanuel Uduaghan.
Her marriage to Uduaghan, a prominent businessman and politician, further intertwined her political ambitions with Delta State’s power structure.
Her latest controversy began when she rejected a new Senate seating arrangement in February 2024. The dispute escalated into accusations that Akpabio was targeting her for previously rejecting his alleged advances.
After being suspended for six months, she retaliated by suing Akpabio for def+mation and taking her claims to international bodies like the UN and the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
This is not the first time Natasha has made allegations of s+x¥al hara§§ment. A resurfaced 2021 video shows her accusing former presidential aide Reno Omokri of similar misconduct.
Omokri denied the claims, arguing that he was out of the country at the time. With these recurring accusations, public opinion remains divided—some see her as a fearless woman taking on powerful men, while others question her credibility.
Despite the controversies, Natasha remains a formidable force in Nigerian politics. Whether her influence will endure or fade remains uncertain, but she has undeniably cemented her place as a woman unafraid to challenge the system.

Nigeria Needs More Manufacturers Than Hotels Customs Boss, Ogbonna
~0.6 mins read
The Area Controller of Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, Cross River/Akwa Ibom Command, Chukwudi Gabriel Ogbonna, has stressed that Nigeria requires more manufacturing firms instead of hotels.
Speaking in Calabar on Wednesday, July 24, the Customs boss said there seems to be more hotels in the country compared with manufacturing facilities.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, he said: “The local or national economy cannot survive without manufacturers. Manufacturing or productive economy energizes any economy.
But there seems to be more hotels than manufacturing facilities in Cross River and many other states. It shouldn’t be that way.
We ourselves are affected when manufacturers are not working. We take in revenues when manufacturers are working. We should give more support to local manufacturers.”

Buharis Welfare Approvals For Teachers: Getting States To Implement
~0.6 mins read
This year’s Teachers’ Day cel-ebration in Nigeria was a different one, as the celebration witnessed the pronouncement by President Muhammadu Buhari of some policies designed to enhance teachers’  welfare and make their job attractive, and to also retain good hands in the profession. The policies enunciated by the President included raising the retirement age of teachers from 60 to 65, years of service from 35 to 40,  implementation of Teachers Salary Scale, payment of bursary to education students, funding of teaching practice by TETFund, special teachers’ pensions scheme, low cost housing schemes for teachers in rural areas, among others.
However, education being on the Concurrent List in the 1999 Constitution, is threatening to make the implementation of the policies a one-sided affair, that is, only teachers in the employ of the Federal Government are sure to benefit from the goodies, as states appear reluctant to implement same.
