How To Renew Your Expired NIN ID Card, Sim Replacement Policy For All Network, & Sim Card Protection
The National Identity Card is the new biodata based card used to identify a citizen of Nigeria.
There are various ways of becoming a citizen of the country. You can become a citizen through naturalization, marriage, parents or the military.
This Identity card can only be issued to citizens who have attained the age of sixteen and above. The citizen will first have to be registered into the National Identity System (NIS).
Step to Renew Your Expires NIN ID Card:
According to Mr Adegoke, here are the steps one can use to renew the expired card.
1. Visit any NIMC enrollment center in Nigeria.
2. Request for NIN card renewal form and fill the form.
3. You will be instructed to pay in the sum of 5000 naira, into the federal government's account through the help of Remita
4. Get a receipt as a proof of payment.
5. When going to retrieve the National identity card, go with the receipt so it will be used during the renewal.
6. After everything is completed, you can visit to the NIMC center you applied for renewal and collect your renewed card.
Sim Card Replacement Policy For All Network:
The new SIM replacement policy for network subscribers has been approved after considering the recommendations of the Technical Committee by the Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy. The policy reads:
1) That the subscriber present a NIN bearing same details.
2) That an effective verification of the NIN is carried out by NIMC.
3) That the relevant Guidelines and Regulations of NCC concerning SIM Replacement are fully adhered to.
How To Protect Your Sim Cards:
Once Your NIN registration is complete, you can protect your Sim card of of networks by linking your NIN to your Phone number with This Process:
For MTN: Dial *785*NIN#
For Airtel: Dial *121*1# and follow the prompt instructions
For 9mobile: Visit, https://nin.9mobile.com.ng and follow the instruments. Or dial *200*8# and follow the steps.
For Glo: Send UpdateNIN, NIN, First Name, Last Name to 109.

What is Fire?
Fire is a rapid chemical combustion that involves three elements HEAT, OXYGEN and FUEL.
It is important to note that without this three elements in there right proportion, fire cannot occur.
What is Fuel? Fuel is any combustible material, material that can get burnt when the rapid chemical combustion occurs.
Types of fuel
The Solid fuel: these are fuel that are in solid state and they leave behind ashes when the combustion process is completed. Example charcoal, paper, wood etc.
The Liquid fuel: these are fuel that are in liquid form. Example are Diesel, PMS Kerosene etc.
Gaseous fuel: these are fuel in gaseous state, and it includes, Methane, Bethune etc.

Heat(crit. temp.) Fuel
Note that if one of the above elements (HEAT, FUEL and OXYGEN) is absent, fire will not occur.
Category of fire
Fire is categorized into two which is;
Small Fire: these are fire that can be managed and contained at sight. These kind of fire are usually in the kitchen.
Big fire: this kind of fire cannot be contained as the fire components are in huge supplies and are very risky to attend to. These kind of fire usually occurs storage facilities etc.
Types or classification of Fire
We have various classification of fire and this is based on the kind of fuel that causes the fire.
CLASS A FIRE: this is fire caused by the Solid fuel. Example is when a woman in the rural setting is done cooking with her firewood and did not properly quench the fire but instead leaves combustible materials like water proof and through this waterproof the fire spreads to the other end of the house, from the kitchen.
A candle fire that happens as a result of not been properly kept (kept carpet), as it get consume to the base, it spreads and consume the entire house. These are examples of class A fire.
CLASS B FIRE: these are fire that is been caused by Liquid fuel. Example of this kind of fire is tankers explosion, or fire outbreak in P.M.S, Diesel, and Kerosene storage of transport facilities.
So, any fire that have its roots cause from Liquid fuel is called a class B fire.
CLASS C FIRE: these are fire caused by gaseous fuel. Examples are gas explosion.
CLASS D FIRE: these are kind of fire caused by metals that burn violently.
CLASS E FIRE: this are fire that is caused by electrical faults of sparks.
Method of fire extinguishment
There are various ways which fire can be extinguished and most time, it is dependent on the kind of fire that one is faced with. Sand can be used to put off a small fire for instance but it cannot effectively help to put off a big fire.
Starving: as the name implies, this method is used to starve fire of fuel.
Cooling: this process is used to remove heat from the fire, by pouring water to the fire.
Smothering: this process removes oxygen from the fire. This is done by using blanket to cover the fire which prevent oxygen from the fire.
The use of fire extinguisher: this also help to fight fire. But the fire extinguisher is of different kinds and different kind of fire. Although all fire extinguisher is red, because visibility sake but there are sections were it is indicated the kind of fire extinguisher that you are dealing with.
Water-Fire extinguisher, its color coding is RED and it is used to fight class A fire.
Foam-Fire extinguisher, the color is YELLOW, and it is used to fight class A&B fire.
D.C.P and C.O.2, BLUE and BLACK respectively used to fight ABC classes of fire. The C.O.2 extinguisher should not be used in an oxygen deficient area.
How to fight fire with fire extinguisher.
In fighting fire, the acronym P.A.S.S. is used. It simply means
P. pull your safety pin from the extinguisher
A. aim at the base of the fire
S. squeeze the handle of the extinguisher for it to release the content inside the cylinder
S. sweep side by side, when you have aimed the base of the fire and the content in the cylinder is coming out of the cylinder, sweep side by side of the fire to quench it.
